Veritas recommends that, when you upgrade from Backup Exec 2010 R3, you upgrade all managed Backup Exec servers and agents as soon as possible to avoid losing any trust relationships. You must upgrade the remote agent and then reestablish the trust. Due to security enhancements, the existing trust between the Backup Exec server and the remote computer has been lost. This issue occurs because Backup Exec 15 Feature Pack 1 deprecated SHA-1SSL certificates and introduced SHA-256 (SHA-2) SSL certificates. When you attempt to connect to a remote computer that is running the Backup Exec Agent for Windows or the Backup Exec Agent for Linux versions 2010 R3 or earlier, the attempt either fails or you receive an exception message.
